Meet The Cast of "Paranoid"

The Role of Jackson: Anthony Lee McBride

Anthony moved earlier this year to Columbia, SC from England with his wife. His personality won all of us as he depicted the role of Jackson during his audition. Anthony recent roles have been in theatre as Talthybius in Jean Paul Sartre's version of Trojan Women and as a soldier in Eleven Vests by Edward Bond. Training has come from a workshop with playwright Edward Bond and the University of Leicester with a BA with honors in Drama and English.

The Role of Sheila: Elissa Horrell

Elissa moved to Columbia a few months ago from Orlando, FL. Recent roles have included the lead actress in the short film Fratricide as Lucille. Additional roles has been as Rebecca in Ghost of St. Martins; Linda in Check Please!; and as a paid extra in We Are Marshall. She also has theatrical experience. Her training has come from Charleston Opera, Marshall University Music, Marshall University Theatre, and New York Film Academy. Her next role after this film will be at Columbia's Workshop Theatre in their production of "Forbidden Broadway: Greatest Hits Vol. 1".

The Role of the Father: Jack Stecher

Jack currently resides in Charlotte, NC. His interaction with Anthony and Elissa during the audition won him the role. He has done the films National Lampoon, Republic of Pete 10 in a supporting role as Righteous Dan; Blood Done Sign My Name in a Principal role as the bell ringing usher; Third On a Match in a supporting role of Sergeant Jones; and Nailed as James Brolin-body double and principal role of Elk-man, Congressman. Jack also has training in television, commercials, and theater. His training has come from a 6 month training in film acting with J.D. Lews and an acting workshop with Jackie Burch. Jack is represented by Maultsby Talent Agency.

The Role of the Mother: Patricia Garvin

Patricia is from Charleston, SC. Her conviction to stay in character for her audition as Jackson's mother won her the role. She recently got back from Los Angeles portraying Tom Arnold's stepmother on Biography Channel's Celebrity Ghost Stories. Her many other roles have been in film, television, industrial, and theater. Patricia's training has come from Margie Haber of Margie Haber Studio in West Hollywood, CA, Ritchard Futch, Jackie Burch, and Alpha Tyler. Patricia is represented by Coastal Talent.

Filming will be April 16-18, 2010 in Columbia, SC.

Our Experience as Production Assistants in New York

Sharee and I began our PA experience for Day 1 in Brooklyn. We first met the make-up artist, Mercedes, and then the other crew as we entered the spacious apartment overlooking the Williamsburg Bridge. The short film, Tell Me The Truth, was a labor of love written by Gena K. It was also her fiction directorial debut. Sharee and I ran a few errands at the local mini marts, picked-up pizza for dinner, and shadowed the script supervisor. A script supervisor basically takes notes during each take of filming on atmosphere (disrupted sounds- car honk, train, etc), actors positions that may have changed from one take to the next, or changes in lines.
The Williamsburg Bridge

Day 2 was in New York's Upper East Side on Park Avenue. We ran similar errands to the mini-mart, but spent the majority of our time in the role as script supervisor for Camera B, and set dressing/prop placement. Sharee also took on the primary role as “clapper” once the shot was rolling. She yelled out scene number and number of takes prior to Gena K's louder proclamation - “Action”. Most takes were 2-3 per scene; yet a few were half a dozen or more.

The film had an excellent ensemble of actors, and the crew were more than willing to share their knowledge when asked. We would like thank everyone we worked with on the set, especially Chrystal (AD), David (Producer), Samantha (Art Director), Theresa (Script Supervisor/PA), Mercedes (Make-up Artist), Roxy (PA), Eric (Gaffer/Grip), Brian (DP/Camera Operator A), and Karim (Camera Operator B). Xavier came on board during Day 2 and had multiple roles as PA and Boom Operator. He is also a talented full-time actor in NYC. Check out the hyperlinks of the crew noted above to find out more information about them.

Meet the Cast of From The Shallow To The Deep

The Role of Steven: Gregg White

Gregg currently resides in Sumter, SC. His 6'3” stature is the perfect depiction of how we envision the role of Steven. Gregg recently completed a pilot entitled “Jordan's River”. Other roles have included Tyler Perry's House of Payne and theatre productions at Sumter Little Theatre. Training has come from Alpha Tyler, casting director for Tyler Perry Studios; Richard Futch, casting director for Lifetime Army Wives; and Eric Bultman, acting instructor at Sumter Little Theatre. Gregg is represented by Carmichael Talent.

The Role of Ramona: Celina Fields

Celina currently resides in Columbia, SC. Her conviction to be Ramona in her audition performance brought the role to life. Her most recent experience have included a Theatre performance with Pearson Production and modeling for Wedding Photography by Jodan's. Training has come primarily from Maultsby Model and Talent Agency. Celina even endured the blizzard in Atlanta earlier this year to participate in Tasha Smith Acting Workshop held at Tyler Perry Studios. Celina is represented by Maultsby Model and Talent Agency.
