September Fest Film Festival

Take A Leap Italy will make it's Illinois premiere at the September Fest Film Festival on Friday, September 13.  The webshow pilot, which chronicles African-American expats in Italy, was entered into the short film documentary category.  The film festival is a part of the September Fest festivities taking place from September 12-15, 2013 at St. Matthews Parrish in Glendale Heights, a suburb of Chicago.  The line-up includes almost a dozen faith-based short films/documentaries, and one full-length feature.  In addition to the film festival, which will take place Friday and Saturday evenings, there is also a 5K Run, Carnival, Wanna Be A Star Vocal Competition, Bingo, and more.

WCP, LLC is a for-profit-business and not a hobby.  It's tax time, and more recently, we have been advised by a tax accountant that we will have to cease operation (or risk getting audited) if we don't start gaining revenue.  To do so we need sponsors and we must consistently charge our clients.  No more being in the red year after year. We must start operating in the black!!

Women of Destiny True Dreams Business Showcase

On Saturday, May 19, 2012 more than 200 business professionals gathered in Columbia, SC to pitch their business ideas at the WOD True Dreams Business Showcase for an opportunity to win $50,000.  I played it "safe" and with a business plan in hand, pitched the need for a DVD multi-duplicator that will allow us to make multiple copies rather than single duplication of our short film compilation DVD.  This will in turn allow us to sell more copies of our DVDs and help sustain our business.  We will also contract out this service to other persons who maybe in need of multi-duplication of their DVDs.

On Saturday, July 14, 2012 we attended an awards banquet to celebrate the business showcase and to announce the winners.  We are so happy to announce that We Connected Productions, LLC was awarded $1000 towards our business. We were ecstatic to be amongst four other exceptional award winners.  We would like to thank Sharon Holmes and Sally Hammonds for putting this showcase together.
