Sharee and I went in the pouring rain to support our girls Karen and Keva's short film "Letters From Home". Although the film began 15-20 minutes late to get the audience into the theater due to the rain, it didn't disappoint. "Letters From Home" was an emotional, funny, and spiritual journey as to what occurs when soldiers are overseas.
We were looking forward to the Q&A, but a panel discussion began in regard to the other three films we watched on saving the environment and the meaning of being "Green". Sharee and I got home about 11:30pm last night feeling inspired by knowing Karen and Keva. Fascinated by the idea that came into their minds, onto paper, and projected on screen. The majority of the audience members were actors & crew members from the short film, family, friends, and co-workers from the production of Lifetime "Army Wives"-many who were crew members on this short film. I loved the support everyone gave them. God is good and has truly Blessed them.
I networked with Travis Pearson whom I met last year at the Charleston International Film Festival, not to be confused with the Charleston Film Festival. Travis has been working on his feature film "Sunday Rain" for a year now. Here is a trailer and his Blog site The actor Joe Stroman in this film is a MBA classmate of mine at Webster University-Fort Jackson, SC. I'm looking forward to seeing this feature when it comes out. Travis is determined to have it finished by April of this year. I know he will!
